Have you been watching the revision streams he's been doing? He still agrees with like 90% of the things he says in those videos he's just saying there were a few things he takes issue with now, and often feels he should have taken a different tone. Well, given that a lot of TJ's content lately has been driven by a lot of introspection, revisiting and self criticising previous works and ideas, the many talks and discussions (especially with Vaush); I find that the conclusions TJ has reached now are all natural and inevitable. And that's a good thing imo. TJ is a great entertainer with great and interesting ideas in different stages of his life and growth. I am excited for this new stage as it seems to be more focused than ever before.

Okay now that I've watched it; I'm a little off put by how performative it is, my focus is drawn from the subject to how LARPy it seems. Just a personal preference though. I like a lot of the individual points presented, but some are so tangentially related it felt a little disjointed, but that's fine, it jives well with my ADD brain. I loved the lighting choice, and getting in close to the camera at the end for dramatic effect was a good idea. I liked how honest it was, although you know people are going to use clips of this to question your credibility in the future. Also kinda feel like the latter half is just explaining to the Chuds why your opinions evolved (or at least why you're presenting them honestly now) and I dunno if they are even worth explaining it to. But overall I liked it, you kept me entertained enough to follow you through it

Upon a second viewing, I grew fond of this character archetype you’ve created. I think the buildup to the epiphany at the end about how labels should be “abolished” so to speak was brilliant. Albeit a bit digressing and rambling, I enjoyed the video. The “Stan”-esque intro to the video was a nice touch.

TJ, I’m a big fan, but I gotta admit this ain’t your best work. I think you have a lot of great points throughout the video, such as how most of today’s political discussion is just pandering to echo chambers and shouting at the opposing side, and how easy it is to grift. However I don’t think it was tied in well with the latter half of the video about becoming principled and the abolition of everything. You have some great ideas presented, but it felt like the video never really started until about 10 minutes in. I like the manic presentation of it, I’m just not sure it fit well with the subjects of the video. But I’ll admit that maybe I’m looking too much into it. Happy $10 patron here. Cheers 🍻

This is exciting! I have felt this way for a long time too. Also why I got into the anti-sjw content as well. Literally front and center in any discussion or argument I have about it is that I want all these terms to become inherently meaningless and for the focus to shift to individual personality. I like you as a person and respect what you have to say, especially in the instances where we disagree. I was never interested in following a yes-man. So yeah. Excited.
