I wasn’t going to say anything cause I hate to defend Andrew Jackson, while he certainly is a piece of shit who did a lot of horrible things, he also shook up an incredibly corrupt and elitist government, look more into the history of this time in America and you realize that we were ruled by only 1 political party, the democratic-republicans, a shakeup of the system needed to happen for democracy in some form to survive, it’s just a shame that it was Andrew Jackson who accomplished it, for example, TJ said something along the lines of him acting like a tyrant but remember he lost his first election because his two rival candidates combined their votes to elect John Quincy Adams, in one of the most widely acknowledged moves of corruption in American history, a move that was never challenged by the way, again I’m not saying he is good person, im saying history has declared him the villain and exonerated a lot of corrupt assholes in the process
