It's not meant to be a gas mask. It keeps your nastiness confined to you the best that can be hoped for. Lest a simple cough turn into a ballistic spray of pestilence. Your mask protects everyone else, everyone else's protects you. Which, incidentally, is why people harp on about it and can't just let you be irresponsible at your own prerogative. Unfortunately it isn't that simple in this case, so the "my body my choice" argument that works for things like substance use is not valid here.

I work a physically demanding job in which I am now required to wear a mask in 90+ degree weather. Its impossible to do; the point is that its not the right of anyone to tell me what is in the best interest of my health. Also, the mask does not filter out air? So with an air born virus, how does a cloth help protect against cov2?

The Masks are there to protect you from other people because you could be asymptomatic. So yes,wear a mask.

I understand you guys have a different opinion on the mask thing but the masks are proven to only be beneficial in confined, poorly ventilated areas such as elevators. Unless you are in eminent fear of someone spitting on your face or sneezing on you, you dont need a mask. People are angry bc it feels like an attqck on our first amendment right, and who is able to tell me what I can wear and what is in the best interest of my health
