Until technology brings us into a star trek - esque age where there's no longer a scarcity of resources, there doesn't exist in my opinion a "optimal" way to exchange goods and services. Don't get me wrong I feel my asshole violated by large corporations as much as the next person, but giving all the market controlling power to a corrupt, lumbering central government doesn't make anyone's life better. On average government officials are just as narcissistic as any massive corporation's ceo. The disaster of the U.S.S.R. and China pre-1970s can testify to that.
