Good point. I guess it's more of a feel of repetition for me. Like the game "Depth" I think is super fun and badass. Super repetitive, though it doesn't feel like that because I'm playing against real people. Maybe the AI just felt too repetitious in Monster Hunter to me? Just a personal thing.
