I feel like most of his performances since pirates of caribbean have been dreck. In retrospective, I feel like his decline already started with Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas(which is a great movie). I couldn't buy him has John Dillinger, he was a horrible Tonto and don't get me started on the later Tim Burton stuff. On a positive note, I enjoy the editing that goes into your Videos lately. Really ads some flavour.

Not gonna lie its already a hassle finding episodes and changing through them while working, 30 minutes a pop would mean i would have to change episode every 30 minutes or download them before hand which is what ive been doing to avoid having 10 episodes links a day. I Already go through 3-4 episodes a day this would just make it more of a hassle for example: I watch an episode 1hour and 30 minutes Long without having to change episodes, now i will have to go through 3 episodes, search them around once they reach backlog, making my episode count higher just to get the same amount of time i get out of one episode with enough meat on the topic.

Unfortunate. I enjoy longer content for its pseudo radio quality while listened to during my commute. I'll still watch the patreon episodes, but this announcement means less DFF for me.

I think this will be a good change broadly. I feel like the trivia contests like the recent North Korea one should be relegated to the shorter format unless you guys are down to shake them up in some way and make them a little more interesting. Obviously the simple trivia shows aren't meant to compete with the drinking game or The Wheel Of Misfortune but I'd really like to see more stuff like that. I understand that those require a more substantive investment. Hopefully growth will get us more stuff like that.

In the beginning, it was just a patreon with promises of content coming soon. At that time there was just a few of us, Giving our meager $5 hoping for the best when the exclusive content rolled out. The Empty table then, has now become a cornucopia of content. Good, hearty Content. A Catalog of episodes. From humble beginnings of Scotty being either too loud, or too quiet, Sharing an old couch with Paul in what had to have been a Hot tight recording area setting has over the years become the best thing on Youtube. You can tell they give it 110%, and have since Tim Allen Vol 1. So anything and everything that is to bring more to the feast, and more at the Table itself, let it Commence! I am a fan of the change. With the great editing on videos now, tighter episodes would lead to better content. I only finish like 50% of current DFF videos because it gets recursive. 30 minutes will make your writing shine and (maybe?) save the longer tirades and tangents for patreon content. Been a patron since the first episode <3 thank you guys

I will be honest and say that I am not a huge fan of this idea. This reminds me of when Flash Fried went exclusive for Patrons and the public only got small clips from different segments. Also, RIP longer episodes for plebs and patrons alike. Now we get three little appetizers and only one big course meal at the end of the week. Which is kinda lame. I understand its still approximately the same length but no one likes piecemeal content

I hope this idea is successful but honestly I'm skeptical. Youtube doesn't really reward spamming content over 10 min in length. If you really want the growth you are talking about you either need to do daily uploads around 10 min in length or three 1 hour episodes on Monday Wednesday and Friday as an example. The algorithm will be less likely to push your content if it varies in length so having two 25-35 min episodes (which the algorithm already considers "too long" for general recommendation and then an hour show on Wednesday will likely drive your recommendations down even further. At least now you have two pieces of content around an hour on the public channel per week which is not ideal but still ticks one of the boxes. I did some contract work for Alphabet so I can't be specific with what you need to do due to an nda but I will give you a couple of tips that might help. First keep your content around the same length if it is being pushed to the YT channel. Second make sure to tag all of your patrons only content *Patreon Exclusive* exactly like that after the title of the clips/previews that you upload. I hope this helps you guys out and I wish you good luck.

I've been here for more than a decade at this point. Pretty sure I'll just keep sticking around. But I will say I feel the best version y'all have done so far is to have shows that are cut up into segments and added to the channel that way as well. Suck them in with a short ~10m or two before they find one of the ~20m. The more short videos they find they like the more they will be likely to watch longer videos due to loyalty forming. But I'll slurp up whatever you set in front of me on the chef's table or elsewhere
