I can't believe you guys missed the most critical clip of 9/11 footage... There was handheld video of the first plane hitting from someone filming a documentary on the street below, that's even clearer than the videos of the second plane hitting. The plane literally flies over them on the street before impact.

I’m about 1/2 way through the episode, so not sure if you mentioned this or not: the moment when each tower went down, everyone watching live thought that we were watching tens of thousands of people dying at that moment. We assumed that the stairways were packed with people still trying to get out. The absolute horror of those two moments...🤢 (Yes, Of course the final death toll is still absolutely horrendous)

Damn good episode! Didn't expect this angle at all... Really interesting to just look back at the timeline. Nice to see this done without excessively touching on the conspiracies, which deserve a follow up episode of their own. I would welcome a follow up looking at that angle, from building 7, to jet fuel, the passports, Snowden's take on it (which is in the J Rogan interview), and of course the likes of the Patriot Act.

Thanks for the great discussion, guys. Paul was the right one to lead the discussion on this one. He captured the emotion of that day for a lot of us, I'm sure. I was in college at the time, had just recently gotten out of the military in fact, but I could see from the get-go that a military response was probably not going to be a quick in and out like it had been during Bush I's Gulf War.

Please go back to doing live episodes, at least once or twice a month. You could make a poll on patreon to see if people want it. You stream live all the time and you don't edit the shows anyway, and a live show is about five times as exciting and entertaining as watching something pre-recorded.

I honestly wish there was more DFF episodes like this. Nothing essential was hurried or sloppily forgotten, it was emotional, respectful etc. It would be nice to see something like this for other things like The Holocaust and Paul is narrating all of it like he did here in this episode.
