Did you guys see Manhunt: Unabomber? They did a great job with Ted's character there, and they get into his philosophy quite a lot.

LotR movies still have a lot of problems. Elrond the half-elven hates humans, anything Gimli says is a joke, Theodon still needs prodding to help Gondor even after Gandalf frees him, Faramir is presented horribly, Denethor comes off as deranged for no reason......There is a lot of these unnecessary changes. They are still better than most adaptations. Great movies, but it really chaps my ass that they made Gimli the dumb talking animal character.
