The biggest issue is that our entire electoral system is based on one group of people: undecided "centrists". People who are prone to believe whatever people tell them on the spot and whose identities are as malleable as playdough. They get their news from Twitter and see tweets from the CDC and opposing tweets from TheREALAmerican1776 and assume these opposing ideas are equals. This makes them susceptible to any bullshit that is told to them. This is why we have no progress, because the only voters who matter are completely unable to think.

Just a small point, Paul: a pendulum doesn't swing "harder" the other way. Pendulums swing less and less each direction until they reach equilibrium in the center.

So Paul thinks Trumps reelection will lead to some kind of awakening in the United States? When it's more likely going to lead to a dictatorship with the loss of freedoms and rights. Trump is a criminal who at this point if is not reelected will probably be going to prison. Why do you think they are jamming in a SCOTUS nominee BEFORE the election. Trumps talk of locking his political opponents up and journalist isn't just rhetoric. Paul can go ahead and take that chance but most sane people should not.

Paul has allowed himself to justify his debilitating, incapacitating depression by turning it into some kind of pseudo-ideology. I can’t find any level of consistency to his view. It’s all based on emotion. It’s all based on “aw man the world could be perfect but it’s not so there’s no point in trying anything.” The fact that Paul and others think that view is somehow virtuous has to be the most autistic, dissociated views of reality that you can find. It’s a damn good thing that Paul stays away from society, because people like him are dead weight.

So the plan is to allow the pendulum to swing right so that it swings back left to break the system? What do we do if it breaks while swinging right? If we're speak in terms of momentum towards right or left, its easier to increase the momentum of the zeitgeist that's already moving in a given direction. Since Biden is more left than Trump, that momentum is easier to push left. I don't think we need 4 more years of trump to make the zeitgeist start moving left since it's already moving left. Bernie captivated all that momentum after an Obama's presidency, and he would have won the primary had it not been for the DNC's last minute rule changes and fuckery. In 4 years, which candiate will give the next Bernie the best chance against the DNC? I dont know, but the conversation should be about how to overcome that hurtle in 4 years. I just voted for biden because historically, that's what gives an AOC type figure the best chances for garnering enough support to blast through the DNC bullshit. Either way, if that fails, we'll descend further into fascism.
