I just had to re learn how to watch a vimeo video on my TV. It was miserable. I hate vimeo

frumpis

this is why im subbed lol good ol OG cinema for cynics

Tay

If they had stayed downstairs with some tools they could have viet cong'd their way out of the basement

If you guys want to just do this shit with public domain movies, that'd be fine. You could do Reefer Madness. That'd be a great movie for you guys to watch.

Kye Coolley

I re subbed my patreon because yall were back to watching movies old cynics v cinema style!!..keep it up!

philhalo66

Made my day to see the old style Cinema VS Cynics. i hope you do more like this i loved every single one you did and this is no exception.

Remonetized。org

You guys really need to hookup or do a crossover with Zac Amico's Midnight Spookshow (YouTube and GAS Digital). You will disagree on some things, but for the most part I think you'd get on really well.

Sierra Reppert

Just got around to watching this--I'd LOVE to see more of these Cynics episodes with other public domain movies. I'm just starting to appreciate some older movies and I like y'all's analysis :)

John Thompson

I love your cinema for cynics watch alongs. Hopefully more public domain movies will come our way in the future.

Todd Newton

Usually I have enjoyed watching you tear apart and laugh at bad movies in the past but this was also an enjoyable video to watch (with both the movie and commentary). It's refreshing to see you guys critique aspects of a good movie. I hope you find a way to do some more Cinema For Cynics stuff in the future.

Harry was killed twice by BenπŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

Billy Goate

BTW, some pretty cheesy movies in the public domain here that would be a ton of fun, I imagine: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_films_in_the_public_domain_in_the_United_States#Films

Billy Goate

As long as they had a way to get off the top floor, like from a nearby tree, I'd say yes, go for it.

Billy Goate

TJ did a good job of avoiding his jabs and staying stoic throughout. You know that attack was aimed straight at TJ and Paul was itchin' for a reaction!

Billy Goate

I remember how hard they were on my little fingers to turn.

Billy Goate

Misread that at first as "a peasant surprise."

Billy Goate

SAME! i was one of the original C4C patrons back in the day.

Billy Goate

I remember when you guys got a superchat one time on Cinema for Cynics that asked, "Would you ever watch a good movie?" And TJ was like, yeah we could watch It's A Wonderful Life sometime, I suppose, and just say "My what a fine film!" I think this may be interpreted as a fulfillment of that prophecy.

Nicholas Luebke

Lol, all of Pauls ranting and raving about the right thing to do in a zombie apocalypse turned out to be him bitching about harm reduction votes and probably still being salty about Vaush making him look like a moron.

defialpro

haha yeah really, but it means that they can't ever pause it for any reason. They could do any movie then and just link to the amazon or netflix stream. Start in 3, 2, 1 : go. Then the viewer puts each window next to eachother and click, spacebar. click spacebar. Would totally work. But then you have two barriers to entry, 3 if you count the patreon. So you have people just not understanding the concept and not caring to do the extra work, then you get the people who can't afford to rent the movie they're reviewing.

Billy Goate

whoa this just made my day!!

Edvard Lundgren

Because the youtube copyright claim system is completely retarded and people are even more retarded.

Jacob Goodyear

Umm why is there a copyright claim if this movie is public domain?

Avery Xavier Chu

#SecondFloorGang #FuckTheBasement

David

You guys could do a commentary on literally any film without breaking copyright laws. We'd need to have our own copy of it and all you'd have to do is help us sync up your commentary to the movie and then it's the same format. Worth a try at least to see if it works for us.

Carl

I missed the commentaries so much!!!

H4LFW1T

Top tier as always. Please do this more often. Also thanks for the mp3 as well. And PLEASE update the content master post already.

sean dunphy

Paul letting us know right away there were no mobile phones in the 60's and resources were slim in the countryside for most. Very informative, no shit Paul.

Frank Schmidt

Totally disagree with Paul this time, 1990 remake of Night of the Living Dead is awesome. And George A Romero is not alive, very dead unfortunately. RIP.

Jeremy St.onge

Nice!

Tiny Turnip

The cellar isn't pessimistic, it's just dumb. Scottie's upstairs plan, or even the one they tried may have worked if they weren't incompetent.

Ludwig Horsecock

Paul was too pessimistic this episode

Gorehoundula

Finally, some horror Cinema for Cynics!

Edvard Lundgren

Hell yeah! The boys are back! Also, that copyright strike is BS as F, it's common knowledge that Romero bungled the contracts for this film and it ended up in the public domain almost immediately.

Qartheros

NIGHT!......................................................................................... .....of the living dead.

Anders Rosendal

Youtube is a POS

Sean Hogan

1990. And it rocked Paul.

Jeffrey Searcy

The Government covered it up! Also great show, I really enjoyed Paul’s commentary about the production of the film.

Ben T Dick

God damn u comentatee over film I’m am angry y’all pu

Love that this came up while I’m drinking. But while I start to watch it and cook food. The Tom Savini remake wasn’t from 1994, it was made in 1990. Also, while Scotty and Paul are my favorite, fuck TJ, the remake has some solid updates from the original that make it valid. Long time listener, first time caller.

Little_Hollow

Paul, you would have run out of food so quick in that cellar.

Beezhto Lazawoski

Still have a rotary phone in my home. We use it just for the meme value, but the house is from the 50's.

JDTaylor

That was great guys, thank you. I'm sorry there's not more stuff in the public domain. Despite what Mickey wanted.

How about no

Paul talked too much

Ggrin

Copyright? A whole aspect of this film's legacy is that it has no copyright

Brokenxwing

What the fuck? The movie is in public domain? Why would you get a copyright claim?

Richard Recar

Thanks guys!

"Everyone upstairs is ridin' with Biden" πŸ˜‚ ... and Trump 2020 is standing outside pretending that zombies don't exist.

The customer is always right.

Dustin Conklin

I'm so excited for a new movie commentary, a pleasant suprise.

AlterEgoIII

A... a... a new movie commentary? πŸ‘€ yes... Yes! YEEEESSSSSS!!!!!!!!

Seth

The delicious contento does not stop

Brad with the biceps

I've been waiting so long for a new one. I needed this. Gonna watch after my Packers play

Furcifer

I don’t think the overall theme of the movie is optimism vs. pessimism. It seems to be more about levelheadedness vs. hysteria/stupidity. Any one of their plans could’ve worked if they had all done it together and didn’t act like ignoramuses.

Subbedhunter The Rufous-crowned Sparrow

Like a Phoenix. Rising from the ashes of Paradise, CA.. C4C is back! This is why I became a Patron in the first place.
