Couldn't disagree more. Fucking retarded argument. Scientists aren't incorruptible beings, credentials or not. This would be easily exploited for "the greater good" first chance they get. The vast majority don't have the recourses or time to conduct studies to prove something demonstrably true, or disprove evidence provided, so we'd essentially be at the mercy of whatever this organisation says it true. You're also looking at this through liberal lenses. At this point in time, it's demonstrably true that black ethnic groups are less intelligent on average than white ethnic groups. Does this mean that the fact checkers will be going after everyone who says otherwise? I don't think so and in fact I think they would come up with some wonky cherry-picked data that 'proves' the contrary. What about the gender pay gap that's been a perpetrated lie for years now? Will every liberal politician be forced at gunpoint to correct themselves? Again, no. Ultimately, this organisation would be rejected by a lot of people and you'll probably end up with an incel or religious fanatic killing a bunch of people over it.

Slippery slope arguments are the most useless arguments ever because they can be applied to literally everything. Example, "we can't let women vote, what's next letting cars vote?" The entire basis of a slippery slope argument is "we can't do this thing, because what if this totally other thing."

Not to speak of how many fact checkers there would be needed. And im guessing not enough qualified people to fill the spots, and if there was, not enough of them would be willing to do the job.

This is absolutely a terrible use of the scientist's time. They should be doing actual science instead of rebuking retards. Also, I don't think you'll find many scientists who want to do this job. They went into science because they actually wanted to do SCIENCE.
