Regarding the comment ‘you can’t misfire a gun without your finger on the trigger’. Not to be a dick, Paul’s almost completely right, but my firearms safety instructor in my PAL (posession accquistion license) course in Ontario told us he once had a new rifle he ordered in, takes it out to the range one day to try it out. Aims the gun off away down range, at the ground, chambers a round and goes to close the bolt, gun fires. This was an instructor, he was extremely diligent in his behaviour when proving his firearm and prepring to shoot. So he says what the fuck was that, chambers another tells everyone around to cover their ears and boom, fires again. Turned out to be a manufacturing problem with that single rifle, he returned it asked them what the hell they did to it and the bolt somehow was misshapen and would fire the round as you used it. Granted, the main point is if you do NOT aim your gun anywhere unsafe, you’re gonna be fine.
