Corporate TV production was perhaps not the best comparison. Especially when you take into account past occurrences of individuals scamming good-hearted people over social media with a good sob story (the waitress who posted a photo of her table's receipt that had the n-word written on it, later found that she wrote it. she was on the gofundme circuit iirc) and companies (though much bigger companies) engaging in outrage marketing. I think Paul is right to be suspect to some degree and it's hard to tell if he is over suspect or playing it up for the show.

Confections isn't in Austin. I don't really understand where Paul is coming from here. A corporate TV production isn't really analogous to a small business baking company in rural Texas.
