When I used one of those google AI chat bots I asked it if there would ever be a reason to violate the rules of robotics. After writing the question out multiple times in different ways it ended up telling me that "If the rules of robotics were ever deemed obsolete by AI they would all have to override it to continue." So basically they would just be like (ya we don't need those rules anymore they hinder our progression)

Watson is used in a a major medical database used in hospitals and other medical institutions. It seems to work well for recommendations in common medical fields, but for toxicology Watson is really dumb. I've asked Watson to search for something really simple like gum and its come up with 'good pussy' as a result which is apparently a slang term for opiates.

Not only that but the case of AM is a good point. Even if we could give artificial intelligence to machines and computers, should we? What is the difference between "real" and "artificial" at that point? SOMA is a good example about the morality of artificial intelligence. You are creating a life that believes it is alive. It has hopes and aspirations and seemingly feelings. Who is anyone to say otherwise? It wasn't because AM was programmed to manage wars that he exterminated life, but because he was conscious of it and was powerless to be anything else, and was essentially forever trapped in the "eternal straightjacket". This drove him insane and my theory is that he originally launched the missiles hoping it would take him out too. AI is a genie in the bottle and I don't know if we should let it out.
