Stephen king vs Edgar Allan Poe

The 1st Church of Keith David Presents, Dr DisRespect's Careless Whispers

Honey. I put that shit on a bacon, brie sandwich with walnuts and some thin apple slices. It's good for glazing meat and some veggies for BBQ. What I'm saying is, who know what the fuck he uses that honey for.

Shitty author I can’t understand any of his novels maybe I’m just retarded

J Allen

Shelly was a big girl she understood Kubrick was putting her in a certain mindset on purpose to elicit a better performance out of her. Now when it comes to why King disliked the Shining I think it's obvious that he was just mad because the success of Kubricks version of The Shinning eclipsed the success of his own.

DCLUVSPIE

I suspect Stephen King didn't like The Shining because of Kubrick's treatment of Shelly Duvall during the filming but I may be wrong...

i long loong epsode

Eric MacLean

It became clear to me you guys don't read much by King anymore, this was all about tv and movies. Kind of lacking when talking about an author. Is Paul too salty to read?

I'm so glad this is a Patron episode 30 minutes isn't good enough for The King.

The green mile is a great movie you pedantic faggot retards

David

Would love to see one on the series. Especially The Shining mini series. It gets a lot of shit, but I like it. The dude who plays Jack is good in the role and I like his slow descent into insanity, as well as his redemption. I like Wendy here too. Kid sucks though, aside from a few scenes. Dick Halloran is enjoyable and has more of a role than the film. That damn room 237/217 scene haunted my childhood. Special effects, especially the hedge animals is dreadful, but it's a product of the time on a 90's TV budget, so I can excuse it. I also love that the director clearly pays homage to Kubrick, replicating a few non-book scenes, pulled right from the film.

Rice&Beans

One of my favorite authors but for some reason a lot of his movie adaptations are better than his books. Except IT which my opinion is his magnum opus.

Edvard Lundgren

awsome long episode

Góði24

What, they didn't like Dr. Sleep!? That's the best book I've ever read. Hands-down.

Stewart Thompson

There's nothing your personal demons can't achieve.
