The Gabby Petito case highlighted an issue in our media and law enforcement: everyone jumps on finding missing white women while hundreds of other missing persons go on the backburner. Today, we cover other cases of missing persons, specifically indigenous women, that have been largely ignored by the media and deprioritized by law enforcement.

I think that movie swamp ape pointed this out already. Here me out: unattractive fat black girl goes missing, two people went to “search” for her (euphemism to have sex since they didn’t care about the black girl). Then the brunette goes missing and they presumed she was killed so they didn’t bother searching. But when the blonde goes missing, the entire crew dropped everything to go look for her. And you know who warned those idiots? The Native American and no one listen probably because he’s Native American. So many layers to that movie

Just spit ballin' here but why not just make a 24/7 channel of missing persons and feature all them? Do a quick rundown who they are, where they were last seen, etc... That way one person doesn't need to be singled out as more deserving to be found over others.

i was raised to believe my great great grandmother was in part native. makes me wonder how she suddenly became white honestly. she was born in the 1880s or 90s. my mom said she told them she came across the mississppi to louisiana in a covered wagon. could be fake. but whilst "taming" the old west babies were stolen from tribes and placed in off reservation boarding schools. mayhap dna test is in order.
