Economic sanctions do not take effect fast enough for it to help the Ukraine NOW. Even with all of the economic sanctions that we have already levied, Russia isnt feeling it until months after the initial invasion. Time that the Ukraine did not have as they were being actively invaded. You think Russia isnt going to roll the tanks out due to an economic downturn? Its kinda proven that they will being that their armor is still in the Ukraine today.

Sorry Paul but I have to disagree with your take on this. That attack on the Ukrianian capital wasn't a feint, it was a pathetic effort to blitz that capital with the disorganized force that they had. That failure is what pushed the Russians to fight in eastern sections of Ukraine instead. Now TJ can say that Russia hasn't used the full might of its air force. But that's only because Russia doesn't consider this conflict a "full war" in their eyes. Otherwise Russia would had way more men, and experienced troops on the frontlines. Both TJ and Paul don't realize that Russia is mainly using conscripts and foreign troops to help fight Ukrainian forces. Let alone fighting in pair with the rebellious provinces of Ukraine. The latter which has fully mobilized for war, and called up 3+ million men to fight on the behalf of themselves and Russia.

@Rat squatch - 'the Un family'? You mean the Kim family, right? @Brad The Patreorn: You realise the Soviet Bloc disappeared in 1991, right? North Korea was reliant in the 90s on trade from a lot of countries that now sanction them. Every neighbouring country they have, has sanctions in some form against them. Even China. Not to mention heavy sanctions from Russia, Japan, even the god damn UN. Do some research before blurting out hot takes and calling people 'bird brain'. Rat squatch is essentially correct here. Sanctions have not harmed the Kim family's stranglehold on power, they have simply led to ordinary North Koreans starving and suffering.

What a dumb comparison lol North Korea hasn't received any trade help from any other western countries since 1950 they were independent without it. Russian imports of US products is huge for their economy. You can go look that up bird brain

Defending the Ukrainians against Russia seems to be more about sending a message to China to not invade Taiwan. It feels like the guys can’t see the big picture. War has a point and a place in our society. It’s an unfortunate yet necessary reality of life as a human being.

FINALLY, I hear Paul's solution to this. He was super annoying about this whole conflict, but I ended up agreeing with the solution. It was a valiant effort on Ukraine's part, but now it seems the best solution is to cede the territory and join NATO to prevent future Russian aggression. It already seems like Russia is going to lose out in the end even if they make some gains in the here and now.
