So cool that half this episode is Good Practical Effects advertised as Bad CGI. I really appreciated you not even showing anything from The Thing 2011 for comparison. Seriously, there's a world of shit CGI that passes for gore that I find to be worse than anything you've shown yet.

A big reason why there has been this push towards CGI in movies in the last 10 years is that most 3D-animation studios are non-unionized.
Over stuffed
Yeah that Matrix fight scene looks like a PS2 game but the fight is one best choregraphed in film history. The smiths didnt look like they were standing there and taking it while Neo was relentlessly attacking and dodging. unlike star wars where the protagonist are clearly out in the open and 50 storm troopers can land a shot.
