There is something to be said about being in office if you do creative work like engineering and software development. Spontaneous collaboration is in my opinion the main benefit. When developing a creative solution, trying your idea on a colleague without having to arrange a meeting just flows better. The 40 hours in office is too much though, sometimes you need time to be alone and focus on the problem. I think a flexible solution is the way to go.

I think it's more of a way to incentivise gun owners to lock up their guns, so the 5 year old doesn't pick up the pistol off the table. I think it's common sense, you want to own a dangerous tool then you are responsible it.

The safe storage law proposal seems more like a reactionary measure rather than a prevention measure. The shooting will already be perpetrated when the police do an investigation and find out the gun wasn't stored properly. It won't prevent a shooting
