The "shaking my faith" thing is so funny to me too, like... How allergic to thinking do you have to be where you become anxious if someone in your physical radius starts to think? I'm convinced it's a weak inability to accept the existential dread inherent in living life as a sentient being. Intelligence is literally wasted on them as they obviously try to suppress it at every turn by ANY means necessary. It's a blur of one step in front of the other, not thinking about where they came from or where they're walking so long as they get to wear their security blanket of bullshit.

It's for that exact reason I fell out with a lot of my friends when I had stopped being religious, Conversation had become impossible, It always ended with them trying to reconvert me by pulling a guilt trip or they would accuse me of "trying to shake their faith."

I don't know what to say to religious people anymore. I struggle to even type a succinct expression of my distaste for it. Not just that the ideas are terrible, but that I've never met a religious person who is willing to lend the same "openness to ideas" that I lend them. I'll listen to them preach, offer a criticism, and their deep training kicks in and they act like they're in a mental duel with the devil's influence. They're like fucking sleeper agents; the switch flips and they're different people.

The book written in several different time periods, about several different gods that eventually all merge into an extreamly contadictory deity... no wonder it doesn't make sense. It's a great way to look at the evolution of two diffrent religions, at least that's how i've been looking at it.
