Magic isn't really a thing in Arda, not like the characters in the books imagine it anyway. It's not about spells or mana or stuff like that. People using 'magic' in LOTR are carrying out the will of Eru Iluvatar in accordance to his Divine Symphony as it played out before time and space existed. The discordant Melchor and, later on, his most loyal servant Sauron weild tremendous power, but that is not really magic as we normally think of it - it's more like destiny being fulfilled in ways that mainly was set during the different movements of the Symphony; specifically them being disturbed by Melchor being the first edgelord and playing the electric guitar/drums too loudly. It really is all rather interesting, you should try and give the Silmarillion a read. It's rather heavy, so I'd read it while having some internet tabs open, maybe some videos explaining the stuff. But when you get into it, it's quite well thought-out.

True. There's a program out there (free) called Plane9. It has tons of animations which react to sound, including speech. Would be perfect as background for those logo shots, as Paul talks, so that something is always moving on screen, to keep it visually interesting.
