Okay? The advantage that mass shooters have over self defenders is that they know what they're going to do before anyone else does. So of course, they initially have the upper hand. But if a CCW carrier wasn't there to stop them in these instances, there'd likely be a much higher body count. As that was clearly the shooters motives, to kill as many people as possible.

This isn't my point. We were engaged in a discussion about a six-year-old that attempted to kill his teacher for some perceived offense. Saying a six-year-old that would commit such an act lacked a sound moral understanding of such an act is not just my opinion but the view of most legal systems which in fact is why the child in question will likely not face criminal charges. In addition, I would never seriously claim that children are all sociopaths incapable of morally sound reasoning or actions. I might have made a hyperbolic statement but you should remember the show can be ridiculous at times. As a parent, I've interacted with plenty of children so I'm afraid that the implication that I've never interacted with children is demonstrably false and not based on anything aside from your disagreement with my commentary.

There are actually plenty of stories of concealed carry citizens stopping mass shootings. They just don't make as juicy of a headline.

Children aren’t sociopaths. They have an intrinsic sense of fairness, empathy, compassion and altruism even at that age. It’s common in all social species. Morality evolved. It’s innate. They don’t have a fully formed moral compass but to say they’re all little sociopaths is just silly. It’s like you’ve never interacted with kids before. Not saying kids can’t be assholes but they’re not devoid of human decency.
