Wasn't there a passage saying that a man's denial of his own animal nature is due to vanity and against reality and God's creation..? Like we were of the same day of creation or same breath or some shit idk. I don't know the Bible very well.

I'm on an overnight shift. Is there a way to pre-donate towards the goal?

im not saying that kids should be allowed everywhere, but as a new parent, its fucking hard. you can choose to not have kids, and not deal with the screaming and the diapers, but you dont really get to avoid them in public. you were a screaming baby once too

And Windmills are Birv Gravyas! Lmao solar, wind, and water energy are completely capable of serving the energy needs and Britain has just proven it. And without the risk of disaster

If TJ wants wild live performances that would scare televangelists he needs to check out Hanatarash, mfs ran a bulldozer through the venue they were at during a show

"logger". Do these guys even try to pronounce anything correctly or just mix each word around in Louisiana stew and blurt out a weird way to say things. DOON

It’s only a temporary solution because we only have about 70 years of uranium on planet earth. But it’s much cleaner and safer than fossil fuels. Hopefully it will be a good transitionary period towards something like nuclear fusion power where we can finally harness the power of the sun.
Atticus Omundson
Just feels like we don't need to treat this as a zero-sum game. The ultimate end goal is fusion (or a Dyson Sphere), but fission in combination with wind and solar is a good stop-gap in getting us there.

The fact that it's possible at all is a no for me. I'm aiming for a solarpunk future. If we take care of Earth, Earth will take care of us. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UqJJktxCY9U

Yes, because fossil fuels are so much more environmentally sound. Chernobyl was a result of an outdated reactor being pushed to the breaking point by a site supervisor who didn't give two shits about safety. Even in the HBO series, they made a point of saying how had they not intentionally violated every single safeguard and failsafe, the explosion wouldn't have occured. Worst case scenario for nuclear is a few-hundred square miles are contaminated. Best case scenario for coal is the entire world is contaminated. Of course nuclear isn't 100% safe, but it's our safest bet regarding an energy-to-cost ratio.
Teddy Spaghetti
It has the great potential to make a location uninhabitable. Chernobyl won't be safe for 3,000 years, That's almost as long as human civilization has existed. Ancient Egypt was 4,000 years ago. What right does anyone have to to risk it? Then, there's the waste. They have to think of a way to communicate to people thousands of years in the future not dig at waste storage sites if civilization collapses. Language evolves quickly. If we went back in time only 600 years, we wouldn't understand the English language. It's just not ethically sound in my opinion.
Benjamin Whyley
The anti nuclear energy nonsense is anti science, anti intellectual and cringe. Stop. You just fear what you don’t understand.
