I think the implication in forrest gump is that it's been 5-7 years after forrest and jenny fucked and she had forrest jr and then she got HIV later around the time she visits forrest at the end of the movie. So it's probably the case that she got hiv later after the breastfeeding phase and she managed to avoid passing it on to either.
