I'd like to suggest this positive spin on what is essentially a hopeless situation. I recently attended a 6-hour library board meeting where bigots were attempting to ban 8 LGBTQ+ books and also to disband Drag Queen Story Time. We fought them and actually convinced the board to defeat them but the fact that they even try to ban books and will obviously try again is a pretty hopeless thought.
