That's not how it's ever happened in history after a major technological advancement though. Plenty of artists will become obsolete, but far from them all. Not to mention older methods of doing things are still popular a lot of the time. We still love listening to vinyl, watching film over digital, ect. This is just another tool overall. A powerful one, but a tool.

In theory, AI will eventually become better than what the average musician can produce (or even the greatest musicians). It might be the case that people will prefer the flaws of human music and reject the perfectly produced AI songs. Or people will just listen to whatever sounds good. Probably a bit of both.
