The Headless Horseman's body is essentially like one of those branches around muddy Arnold that the Predator CAN see even in his thermal vision. So the Horseman is gonna surprise the Predator with his first blow, but then the predator is gonna realize that the cold-blooded thing that is the Horseman's body is moving around and it's his enemy, so he's gonna go after it even if it isn't glowing red from that point on. This is the point Scotty was trying to make i think. If a cold blooded thing moves, then the predator can definitely notice its movement -- to him it's just a blue moving enemy instead of a red moving enemy that's all...
