Eliminating the DOE could cause massive problems for college students relying on FAFSA. Grants and scholarships could be halted or eliminated. I completely rely on grant money and the smallest things always affect how much I'm covered each semester. It wouldn't surprise me at all if FAFSA was eliminated with the DOE.

Laughed my ass off at the patriot coin scam. Just wanted to clarify something about the theory that the guys had about the scam victims, who they assumed are just toxic maga boomers shunned by their younger family members. Oh, my dear naive and beloved internet fatsos….. Even when surrounded by a loving a supportive circle of family’s DO YOU THINK THEY LISTEN TO REASON?! Aside from being greedy and stupid, a lot of boomers are terrified, britches-shitting-level afraid of being perceived as wrong or inept. That is also one of the reasons why they passionately hold on to the “old equals wise”stereotype. They give away apartments, transfer thousands to unknown sources, jump into pyramid schemes, and “bail out” “relatives in legal trouble” when they call at 3 in the morning. Educating a lot of them about scams is useless, they will not believe that someone younger can possibly know anything that they don’t. Such discussions with them by the way fall into the very small category where harsh insults, cussing and direct threats of violence are necessary and appropriate, as they are the only things that a lot of them will respond to. TJ and Scotty, absolutely no jokes, be on the lookout for that with your Mom and Steve. Today it was a fake He-man trailer, tomorrow it might be a money order. Watch out for such scam situations, my dudes.

My “sex education” was the principal of my Christian school telling us that marriage outside of wedlock was a sin and you’ll only get pregnant or std’s otherwise. His daughter my 10th grade year had to leave school because she got pregnant and they got an abortion. No one ever mentioned it again but I think about it constantly. He was kind of right lol

That abstinence segment reminds me of the sex ed we got in Hs. We had to take consent forms home to our parents and get them signed just to be sat in a room with a fat church lady reading off a shitty PowerPoint about how pre-marital sex ruins the whole point of marriage, no shit. She also had pictures of the Bible in the slideshow at various points, and when I called her out on it she deflected and claimed they were pictures of a dictionary . It was absurd, and legit if I were ignorant on the subject it would have been less than useless
