Being yourself is a lie to everyone, and not just autistic people. Even ADHD has no place in society. What people mean by "being yourself" is don't change who you are, but make adjustments or even put on a mask for the masses with room temperature IQ. Ultimately, humans only care about how much money you have. Elon Musk is autistic as fuck, but he's somehow "socially accepted" because of how rich he is.

"Be yourself" is indeed the biggest lie ever told. Every autistic person knows exactly what I'm talking about. Trying to fit into societies bs standards just feels like mission impossible for autists. Sometimes I just think why am I doing this to myself, trying to find jobs that I get fired from a month later... It's so futile having autism + anxiety disorder. I can't exist in this society the way they expect me to! Literally the only thing I'm passionate about in this weird life is art. I want to create more art! And when I create art my anxiety also dissappears. I constantly think about new art projects. So why am I forcing myself to work shit jobs when I should be focusing more on my art??? That is the question. The answer is depression, anxiety, self doubt, fear of failure, mental illness.
