The really fucked up thing with Dave Mustang and the Cliff Burton comments was he was a band member of Cliff’s at one point as well. So he not only knew Cliff, but spent time with him as well. His old friend and coworker basically died and he had to make it about himself.

Grunge music was never trying to be metal. Industrial metal was also trying to do its own thing. Industrial metal also has extremely clean and more dance focused bands like Static X, then the black metal industrial stuff like An Axis of Perdition and Blut Aus Nord. Half the time you can’t even compare industrial metal with itself so I don’t see how it’s a better example of “grunge.”

Grunge genre is so overrated it's literally nothing but Seattle Alt-Rock and that's it now if you want some real Grunge music listen to some Industrial Metal groups
