Development Update #61

I hope you're all doing well. Everything is great on my endโwell, except for a dental procedure I had three days ago. It's been hurting like a bitch these past 24 hours, but I'll live. Lol
But you don't want to hear about me. You're here to hear about the development of episode 8. We are about 3 weeks into development, and things have been going pretty smoothly. Lots of dialogue writing, getting assets ready, and setting up scenes, mostly. A lot of times, I need to make sure I have all the correct asserts to make sure my writing matches what's going on in the scene.
I ported a huge map that will be a big part of the update, and it's an excellent map. It's a big lake house where this little party or "get-together" will take place. It's a big lake house with lots of cool rooms and parts. I'll post a couple of pictures here of the development in Unity and then render them in HS. I know some of you like the behind-the-scenes stuff, so I don't mind showing some of it.

So, I have a huge chunk of the writing and dialogue finished, a big chunk of the coding, a bunch of assets ported, several scenes all set up in HS and ready to go, and a few starting renders for those scenes done. I'm currently working on art for Scene 1. For the next dev update, I'll also probably release preview renders.
So that's where I'm at. I don't have much more to talk about at the moment. I'll discuss some of the scenes more in the next dev update. I have some fun scenes planned, and I can't wait for you guys to see them. I hope you're all having a wonderful morning/day/night!

Nothing confirmed, but I know exactly where the story ends, but it's hard to tell how many updates it will take.

I just caught up, and so I resubscribed, to thank you :) I Had left off part way through ep6, and ended up rewinding to the start of ep5, finishing at the end of ep7. I'm keen to see the next chapter, amazing work, character development is great and an engaging story.

Hello Jestur, Toothache is one of the worst pains. You have all my sympathy. And of course we want to hear from you too. We're here for the game...and you are the game ๐ Thanks for the look behind the scenes. It's interesting how something like that comes about. And what beautiful renders come out of it. And in 3 weeks you've already done 70% of the writing and 40% of the coding...respect! I'm really looking forward to the party and finally seeing our girls again.
