Dev Update #20

I hope everyone is doing well!
Yesterday was my birthday so I had a rather pleasant day. Went out to eat with my mother and brother and later hung out with friends.
On the development side of these I've mostly been doing studio work since I got a huge chunk of the dialog and coding done last time. I've also been doing the audio as I go along, the last update I waited until everything else was done before I worked on it, but I feel I get a better feel for the scenes with I can test the audio along with everything else. It took me like 5 days to last update to do all the audio all in one go. I hope everyone is playing with the audio turned on because I believe it really heightens the experience of Ripples. I plan to put all the different types of audio on their own channel and putting all those channels in the options menu and you can use the sliders to lower or turn off whatever you. Most games only have a music and sound slider, but I want to add ambient, sex sound, regular sound effects, alternate sound effects and so on. I've also been porting a lot of needed items and maps like I reported last time. This update is the most I've every spent on buying assets and customizing them and bringing them into HS. Lots of little cool things, be sure to check attention to detail in certain parts of this update. You may find subtle things and foreshadowing or references to other things.
I really don't know what else to update you guys on, but just know I am working away and this should be a great update when it is finished. If there things you would like me to discuss or show in future dev updates, please leave a comment and I'll see what I can do.
Currently I have 469 images and 27 animations done and a good portion of dialogue and coding.

Thanks for supporting, Mark. Yeah, the sound gets better as the game goes on. Same for the art quality. I plan to touch up and the art and sound earlier in the game soon to make a more pleasant experience.

I turned on the sound for the third part and I really like the ambient sounds. I started playing this weekend and couldn't stop until I finished the game as it is now. Really liked it, so I became a member to support further development :)

I'm going to try and look for better ones, I have only been using certain sounds for certain girls but I will try to find more original ones. But I agree with you, I hear the same ones in a lot of games and it gets old.

It does give a note of realism having the moans and other sounds present during the sex scenes, but I have to agree that many of them all sound the same, which brings the value down.

Yeah, that's also why I want to give the player the options to turn those type of sounds off if they want.

Sometimes I turn off the audio for the sex scenes because I'd rather imagine it than hear sounds from the program. For one thing, the girls all seem to sound the same in these games and each one is a different person. I will give it a shot, though.
