Yep I'm gonna draft the fucktard a letter and try and get a refund. Saved all the old, melted parts the new guy had to carve out of my engine and got all of the incriminating statements in writing.

The shots are great, prAna, nothing wrong I can see. If your camera is back some distance, and then focused in, those closeups like any others should be fine. Better than cropping (I "crop as I go" if possible). Makes me sick to think some North Carolina garage on the road may have ripped you off! I can remember going many miles on 7 plugs in a Chevy I'd bought, hearing it miss occasionally, before an honest mechanic found that the previous owner hadn't changed oil; it was caked up in the engine block. But, maybe valves and coils needed the fix. If it blows again, get proof from another garage, send that one proof, argue for $ back.
