Here's my jumbled-but-still-mostly-coherent thoughts on what is going on in the US right now with Roe v. Wade being overturned. Have a listen if you'd like. If you want to debate or play devil's advocate, please do so elsewhere (i.e, far away from me and other creators). P.S. sorry if you can see my pup running around lol, just recorded this on my couch. CW: one mention of suicide.

Highlights
- Overturning Roe v. Wade is just the first step in a series of events and legislation that WILL affect people who can get pregnant as well as the rights of LGBTQIA+ community at large.
- This overturn has already resulted in "reconsiderations" of Americans' right to access contraception of ALL kinds, including birth control pills, IUDs, and Plan B pills. While this will likely not be a federal mandate, we can expect to see contraception limitations and potentially even bans in the same states that are banning or have already banned abortion.
- It is only a matter of time before anti-abortion lobbyists join forces with FOSTA and SESTA proponents (the 2018 bills that aim to remove NSFW creators from all digital platforms, aka why tumblr "banned" porn) to stop me and countless other SWs from earning a living online. Reddit will be next.
- Abortions will not stop happening, but safe abortions will.

I have thoroughly researched organizations that assist people seeking abortions, particularly in "trigger" ban states where it is already banned. Please consider donating to any of the following funds.
For every $25 donated, I will add 3 minutes to an additional, Patreon-exclusive audio next month on a topic that y'all will vote for. Send me a screenshot of your donation receipt (with your personal info blurred out) and I will tally the minutes!
In addition, I will be donating 15% of my June earnings, split equally among these 3 funds.
Yellowhammer Fund - Queer-led, nonprofit that provides funding for abortion services, travel needs, food and lodging and other expenses that often hinder a person’s access to abortion. Serves Alabama and Missippi.
Arc Southeast - Provides funding and logistical support to ensure Southerners receive safe and compassionate reproductive care including abortion services. Serves Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
Indigenous women rising - Directly serves Indigenous people in the United States and Canada who have the capacity to become pregnant and seeking an abortion in the United States.
Or, if you would rather donate to a local fund in your own state, you can find one in this state fund directory. Please note that the trigger ban states (AL, AK, KY, LA, MI, OK, SD, UT) are in the most need of funding right now, though.
