I'm pretty sure that they use an algorithm keyed to specific word sequences. One based off of YouTubes. The real problem with it is that they've likely trained it wrong, and it's recognizing the wrong things. That, and they likely don't even double check it, or rather can't due to the pile of bands it causes.
