The Broken Hymn

Hehe (>/////<) I had this idea for a story about a Church where everyone vows their life belongs to God, and disobedience is punished by death. I thought of characters like a choir sister caught singing in a tavern, a doubter who question the doctrine, a healer secretly tending to commoners outside the walls, or even a random student used as a pawn in some political game. Lots of ideas, But I'm terrible at keeping a whole series alive, so this one stands alone. This is exclusive content for my Fanbox supporters, my small way of showing appreciation for your patience and support, even during the months when I wasn't able to post. It's truly wonderful to see you again! How have you been? This work is a complete reward for the wait, no, it's more than that. I don't know the story behind why this seemingly devout girl (the parchments and books on her desk probably show that she was serious about studying the doctrine or something like that late into the night? Haha) had to die, but I think her final ending was beautiful and faithful to God. The sign of the cross on her forehead, perhaps blasphemous, might also have been another hymn to God, offering love, new birth, and stuffed beauty as a sacrifice. And dragging her out of bed... reminds me of Eliana in the movie "El secreto de sus ojos." All beauty in a body thrown about carelessly, disorderly, and limp! That was a long digression. I'm glad you're back safely. It's the last day of August, but I've decided to subscribe to your fanbox without hesitation (I actually did it yesterday). I hope you're staying safe and well.
