Again, two of the people in the group were apart of the cult. I am sure they used the emotions of the others to push them along. Also, there is no "let". What is Kai supposed to do? Tie them up and take them to another town? If he left they would have gone on their own, because two of them were manipulating the others to go.

Sorry I haven’t posted I will do more in the future - I found your books and writing only a few weeks ago and have devoured the writing due to loving it so much - thanks for continuing this series - also no major pressure you need to take care of yourself as well

Rip Woodham

Nah I mean constantly sending allies back/away or trying to go alone because 'he can handle it.' He obviously can't. Feels like that's happened half a dozen times so far just since they went inside. I'm not saying he should be able to handle it, just... it can be overconfidence for a while but after that it's just stupid. Last chapter he tried to go alone, this chapter he sent Hobbes away. They'll pull it out with Kea there but they could have easily been killed or grievously injured. With Hobbes there it would have been quick and clean.

Mina She

Feelings can affect judgement true, but you just don’t let people do stupid things because they feel a certain way. You are going into an evil organizations base, who have shown the ability to neutralize all mana and you are counting on getting in and out with no problem with a team of more than 6 people? These guys literally ran into danger, no plan whatsoever. This is after Kai had just survived 2 years in the hidden realm by his wits. Everything has been reactive , it’s just disappointing.

LiteWvr

While true for staying in the town, he truly doesn't have much of an option in this case. Leaving a currently being tortured to death friend isn't really a thing you can come back from.

Rip Woodham

Nice action! Kai making decisions over and over that just give him long odds he can't overcome on his own is getting frustrating though. His shoulders clearly aren't as broad as he thinks they are and turning down help he obviously needs isn't just putting him at risk and making him look weaker than he is, it's putting everyone at risk.

Doug Wills

I mean, they are, effectively, delusional. They're stuck on the idea that they MUST rescue their friend. Not to mention that two of the people in their group, who were there from the start insisting on this mission, were part of the cult. Including one who was there the whole time pushing for the "rescue" of her brother. For Kea it was also her boyfriend. Feelings make people do irrational things. And Kai isn't "allowing" them to do anything. He doesn't get to just control people. And he can't help that the best shot at his sister not dying is he, Rain, and Flynn helping. Their plan, however foolish, was explicitly stated to be "get in, find their friends, get out with little to no fighting if possible." Obviously it did not work out that way. But that was explicitly stated to be the plan. And because there is a lot of emotional investment for those involved, they were determined to do something foolish (again, further aided by the fact that one of the cultists was in the group pushing it). Kai knows he can fight above his paygrade. He fought monsters that are almost certainly more powerful than Y-Y people. He also has Hobbes, and the element of surprise. Rain is incredibly strong. Flynn is also very good at the things he does, and has infinite faith in Kai. Kea is desperate to save her boyfriend, who is also her friend's brother, and Niel who she feels responsible for having convinced him to stick around to look for aforementioned brother. Caeli is literally trying to push them here to capture all of them. That leaves only one other member I believe, no? And for them it's two friends that are gone and two more that have that intense emotional investment in those captured.

Thanks for the chapter.

Thanks for the chapter! :-)

Thanks for the chapter.

Mina She

No one is acting like that though. Kai has been pretty much been pushed by his sister and team since the beginning. They were planning to do their own rescue and insisting on their capability. If they are not as capable then it makes them delusional and Kai a bit foolish for allowing them to continue doing that.

Doug Wills

None of them hold their own though. Flynn killed someone while kai had them distracted. Then Kea did the same. In no instance did any of the rest hold their own against yellows, certainly not the way Kai does.

wanderer117

She learned her skills from Moui. Kea is more focused then Kia.

Mina She

He is dealing with 3 casters who are firmly in yellow in race and profession. There have better attributes than him. It’s impressive that Kai can hold his own for so long. Kea managed to kill the caster because of suprise I think. But I do get your point , the problem is that except Rain and Hobbes all of Kai’s allies are still in orange and should all be outclassed though somehow they are able to hold their own which ends up being confusing. It makes sense that Kai is struggling with people in Yellow but that should mean all the guys in orange shouldn’t even stand a chance but somehow they are and this is affecting how we perceive power scales.

Brandon Steele

He literally killed one the moment the door opened, then proceeds to take the attention of 3 Yellow grade spellcasters while not receiving any significant harm.

Gabriel Medeiros

Don't think Kea has magic-specific skills beyond mana sense. She does have an advanced hiding skill that is good enough to fool the mist wraiths and distracted yellow cultists

Halfcrzy

I'm trying to remember, who taught Kea her magic skills again? Why does she feel more useful than our isekai boy? He always seems like he can't do anything.

Gwalmeich

Time to rip and tear, until it is done.
