Elemental Attunement and Bloodrush both seem amazing! Elemental Attunement seems like it could fuse with his Swordsman skill at green as well so it could be good for future prospects as well!

100 demerits to get expelled, and they *can't* be countered with merits. My understanding is that they are excessive on purpose because the teachers are looking for excuses to thin the herd.

The demerits seem excessive. Especially if it only takes 200 to get expelled. I remember them being cumulative even if they can be equalled out with merits.

what do you mean 'choose'? The way it reads, it will be a dynamic increase that changes based on how you invest your mana, not a set in stone thing. That's how the swordsmanship works too. Kai could theoretically invest Fire mana into it at any time and the skill wouldn't give a shit.

Which element will he choose for Body Augmentation? Earth for strength and defence or Water for dexterity? I'm guessing water. What element is his Swordsmanship?

I have a general question about this school. When does education end here? What is the end criterium for someones studies at this school? Right now this is something in between a bachelors and high school. Does that mean there are other schools / more advanced programs? Or are they also in this same school and Kai just hasnt interacted w them? Is there a this worlds equivalent of masters degree for green 1 individuals and PhD for green2 and 3 individuals? Or does most education end with reaching green

It is starting to give the sense that elemental affinities have conceptual facets alongside the more obvious physical ones. We saw it first in the more subtle shadow applications, and now in Ambrose's essence holding dominion in the terrein through, supposedly, some application of earth and or nature. What extra dimensions do the other affinities hide?

A few points. 1). This is school. With nobles. I would think he would want to keep as much secret as possible. 2) go back and read Elijah duel chapter. Without lethal intent the skill doesn’t pick up as much. 3) I would assume the girl, especially if she is as friendly as she appeared wasn’t trying to hurt him. 4). She was a noble. I would guess she had as much dueling experience as Kai. You can disagree. Wont hurt my feelings! Just my 2cents

Its so stupid this whole thing about not relying to much on a skill and being a one trick pony or whatever with hallowed intuition why does he even have the damn skill if he wont use it to its utmost limit and level it upp like all his other skills? why would you ever have to worry about overelying on a skill when it literally changes to suit you perfectly with the milestones. Also he has had to be stupid and nearly died dozens of times to just barely get it to the levels it is at now and it cant even detect some random 15 girl who has never been in a fight her entire life attack and someone who is not even an assassin how is it so useless that it cant detect her attack? While at other times its godlike ability that basically lets kai see into the future its very annoying when characters are nerfed like this just for plot reasons

I agree, but doesn't one of his Profession skills already allow him to ignore pain/injuries? I think Elemental Attunement is the best option with how well it would mesh with Elemental Swordsman.

Thanks for the chapter! If that Sebastian guy really had him figured out, he would've realized that Kai had tried to get closer to his opponents lollll. I hope we get to see some more of the less common elements like dream and gravity in battle. I also hope we'll see more of the "decay" aspect of his nature magic, cause I don't think we've seen much of it since he took the specialization back in book 3. Well now that's Kai's taking a nature magic class, he'll probably learn more about it and ways to implement it into his fighting. Anyways, overall great chapter!

Ooooh tricky, Elemental attunement is more what his build is oriented to and would work well with Elemental swordsman, but Bloodrush is generally how he actually uses it.

This might open for a Green mix of Body augmentation and Elemental swordsman in the future. I keep thinking that some of his skills needs to be merged when he upgrade them to green.

Oh, so that was why he never chose a specialization. He was waiting for this one. Great duels, and it was interesting to see someone capable of hiding Fire with Shadow. No idea what happened with the last one though. Maybe something was supposed to be triggered that ended up not happening?
