I'm not certain so don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure the stage of school they're all in has three years and ranges from 16-18 so when yann refers to a middle school girl he likely means someone 14-15 years old which is still creepy, even if the age of consent in France in 15. Also, yes, I've been saying that Emma and Yann are better off as bros since the end of season 1 - they were a kind of shitty couple but they have a good, solid platonic bromance going on throughout most of the show!

Re: the "Well, that's gay" subtitle, I think it was a translation error - or, rather, an outdated use of "gay". Like Imane was saying, "Well, that's really pleasant" in a sarcastic way.
