I enjoyed this episode a lot, but not as much as I enjoyed the other episodes. It's basically a totally different romance subgenre than the rest of the series. I think a lot of people who prefer this episode seem to wrongly assume that anyone who dislikes it must only interested in instant sexual gratification, but it's actually the opposite. Scott/Kip provides instant emotional gratification. The characters just instantly fall in love at first sight and move in together after one date. And lots of people really like that kind of romance, but on the other hand, lots of people find that kind of instant emotional gratification unsatisfying. We prefer an emotional slow burn we can really sink our teeth into, where the characters gradually fall for each other over time, and have a lot of internal conflicts they need to overcome before they can finally admit they love each other and truly be together. That's what we get from Shane/Ilya.
