I've Returned, Tifa movie details and general update.

I hope you all are doing well during these troubled times. As you probably know I’ve been absent for a little over 3 months, I’ll give a short explanation below and a more detailed one tomorrow my discord. Same deal with the animation I’ve been slowly working on, as well as animations coming out this coming month. After taking everything into consideration these past few months I am also going to announce an important change to the content going forward on my discord post, something I've wanted to do and probably should have done quite a long time ago.
Right now I’m nearing completion of a Movie featuring Tifa Lockheart (LQ sample) that is a little over 8 minutes long. It’s gone through 2 drafts and extended from the original 4 minutes to 8 ½ . I rendered the first draft sometime late April to get something out but I was really unsatisfied with the quality. All that needs to be done is general animation clean up, Sound and to finish the last shot of my flashback sequence that is on a separate DMX. All of this should take a little less than a week to a week at my current pace.
- The Mavis video should be done sometime this month, I have 70% of the frames rendered except for the frames that need to be lip sync’d. However, the VA never got back to me this entire time on twitter or email so I’ll have to find some new talent. Zia Vs Zaldia should be ready by late this coming month. So 3 videos should be done sometime mid to late this month. Also bare in mind the Tifa sample above is rendered in the lowest setting and even then it took nearly an hour to render.
I’ll try to be brief and concise. Mid April I had an infection related to my lung surgery earlier this year, it’s really my own fault. I didn’t take the recovery period seriously and as a result my body was compromised. I stayed at the hospital for a short time then returned to the home I am staying at and became depressed to the point of stopping all activity for a while. Couldn’t will myself out of it, it’s been building up for far too long and I finally hit that threshold.
- I isolated and didn’t have the mental strength to communicate with anyone both in the real world and the online space. I rationalized my silence on Patreon by thinking “It’ll be alright, just keep pledges paused like you have since March.” Unfortunately I forgot to pause during June which somewhat snapped me out of this state. This is already getting too long and to keep thing short I got the help I need and have been working out my problems.
Sorry for leaving you all in the dark, the thought itself is so stressful it's making me dizzy even now. I’ve been slow working, not because I want to but have to unfortunately. At least for a little while longer, I have a clear idea of what I want to do which will be detailed in my discord post tomorrow. I've been lucky to have the support, your support and I don't want anyone to think I am taking advantage of them so feel free to get in contact for reimbursement for the past two months if you feel strongly about it.

Great update post, hope you're feeling better physically and mentally. It sounds brutal that you got an infection after that major surgery, but thank god you didn't catch covid too! Gotta take surgery recovery 100% seriously, even surface level stuff. tbh I think it's high time you made the transition to Blender. You and noname55 are literally the only 2 people who still manage to make SFM look good, and I know it takes an ungodly amount of work to make that zombified old engine perform well at all. Hopefully the learning process will be invigorating and inspiring, on top of eliminating the frustrations of SFM!
