Great chapter mate, next Sunday cna't come fas enough. For an opening, it would have to be Shoukei to Shikabane no Michi for me. I don't think it i the most popular, but it strikes a balance between the Heart pounding action and the inevitable tragedy. To me, it's the prefect op to end with before the time skips.

I’m pretty sure it is clear that Annie’s father forced Annie to train. When Annie became stronger, she beat him to the point of breaking his arm. I don’t think Annie would have done that if her father was only slightly bad, and the only time he was kind to her was before she left when he told her that he wanted her to return and all that.
