It's been about 4 years since that story was purged sadly. It was a good one. But yeah one of the monsters Neville ends up facing on the covered bridge is an adolescent nundu.

Almost everyone is suggesting Hufflepuff, and it makes sense for him to be there. Dursleys will have to play nice with Harry, Itisa won’t be happy if Harry is mistreated.

If Hufflepuff he could be there and meet Tonks in his first year during her 7th, also being close to Susan Bones would facilitate his removal from the Dursleys asap. Slytherin would also work, but I don’t think I’ve read any OP Harry stories where he is a Hufflepuff, would be interesting. Would love a future scene where Harry is casually speaking with the Basilisk while sitting with his Nundu familiar 😂😂 Really liked this opening chapter, excited to see how it unfolds Cheers!

We rarely see him in Hufflepuff. While his personality from this short teaser points to him being 100% Slytherin, I think he can ask the hat to not put him in there.

“Nuclear kitten” 😂 Hufflepuff sounds like a good choice. Harry will be OP in this story, as will his little ‘innocent-harmless’ kitten. Just imagine Snape and McGonagall’s reactions when they find out that Harry has a Nundu.

Love it more more more more more more more love the promise Hermione‘s gonna have a big role maybe eventually marry, Harry maybe he meets her as a child and their friends and they learn about Harry’s family to Harry could also meet Snape a young age there’s so many ways you could do the story. I have so many ideas and things that you could do. I don’t know what you could do but I hope you find something you like every fun to read.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the Nundu the animal that can kill pretty much anything with it's breath? If so, I definitely wouldn't want to be the Dursleys "when" they yell at Harry around that cat.

Heh, this could be a lot of fun. I think for house doing something unexpected would be enjoyable, and make story sense. His house has to be Hufflepuff, and there's a reason. Having a pet like the nundu would dramatically tilt his personality towards loyalty because she would save him from the mistreatment and provide companionship. He'd also have to work hard to take proper care of her, and combined those traits would probably overtake his bravery in prominence. I've seen a few people suggest Slytherin, but that doesn't really work since having a nuclear kitten would not lead one towards subtlety or cunning in problem solving.

I absolutely love this idea. Nundu have always fascinated me but no one ever does anything with them other than maybe have Voldemort throw one at the defenders of Hogwarts during the final battle.
