I loved it !! Aenar’s speech was brilliant and Viserys deserved every verbal slap in the face. I initially felt a bit of pity for Alicent considering the reaction and Aenar’s comments in next chapter but it was only because I had briefly skimmed over them and hadn’t read how much she manipulated Viserys at the start of this chapter… she deserves everything she’s going to get. Too bad for her she loves a man who would never love her back… I also love how much of an insult Aenar’s actions are to House Hightower. The King publicly declared Aenar’s betrothal to Alicent but he then fucks off to Dragonstone with Rhaenyra. Such a humiliation of Otto, love it! Can’t wait for the next month now that the three chapters have been posted, this story is top notch

Oberyn and Arianne’s situation is from Jon’s perspective of what happened. Arianne begged that she didn’t know the wine was poisoned; whatever that is, the truth depends on the reader. There will be a couple of flashbacks from Jon’s perspective of what happened, but whether or not Arianne was truly guilty, or maybe Oberyn used her, depends on the reader.

Rhaenyra’s time to shine in this story is coming soon, especially with the upcoming War. Alicent is making things much worse than they should be, and she will come to regret them.

Honestly, while everything was riveting the thing that stuck out to me the most was that Oberyn and Arianne poisoned Daenerys in Jon's previous life. How the fuck did that happen?

I completely expected daemon and aenar to leave but rhaenyra is kinda surprising. I wonder what otto was muttering about though (was he going to keep them from leaving the next day and by leaving in the night he can't stop him). My think with alicent is that manipulating the situation with the king she has only made aenar hate her more. Also great speech

I am not sure if they would see it as an insult but since they call themselves dragons I can see it. I read it in another story where someone called Viserys (the mad kings son) a wyrm and it fits. Can’t wait to see what happens next and Viserys learns the consequences to his actions and there is a fallout for Alicent as well. Will Viserys marry Alicent or are you not going with that?

That’s actually a cool insult. I don’t know if Valyrians see it as an insult, but it would make sense since Wyrms are weaker versions of Dragons and without fire breathing. Aenar will use the attacks against Corlys as an excuse to start his conquest. By helping Corlys, he has a reason to attack the Free Cities, and Corlys can become an ally and one day have his permission to marry Laena.

Don’t worry you are not bugging me. I loved writing Aenar’s speech to Viserys. My favourite part of this chapter.

Viserys is simply blind. In the same way, Tywin is blind to what Cersei and Jaime have been doing right under his nose for years. Tywin thought his power and the fear he can cause to others would be enough to keep everyone in check, the same way Viserys thought that being a King gave him some kind of advantage and approval to do whatever he wanted.

Otto’s entire plan breaks apart because, in his eyes, Aenar is still young and without experience. He underestimated how far Aenar could go to achieve his goals.

Alicent will come to regret her decisions, but the damage is already done. Viserys will soon learn how much he fucked up, especially when Aenar starts earning Titles.

Loved how Aenar called Viserys as worm. I think it would be better to call him a wyrm as it is a flightless and limbless dragon which can be an insult for Valyrians. Wonder if Daemon and Aenar taking Dragonstone will be the launch point for their invasion to create their own kingdom. Cannibal and Caraxes is a powerful and terrifying sight to be against. If Daemon and Aenar do have their own kingdom, they will get support from the North, most likely Corlys as the Triarchy are attacking his ships. I would love to see Kings Landing become lawless with Daemon and Aenar taking many of the men who most likely support them and are loyal to them.

A TRUE Dragon doesn’t marry traitors, he burns them🔥🔥🔥 You must respect the man stupidity, he was capable of alienating all the Dragon riders of the continent and a Great House with a single decision “for Dorne to finally learn why you never mess with a dragon.” 🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️ I CANT WAIT!!!!! Did Viserys really expect anyone is his family to agree with this? Aenar is the blood of two houses that ruled as kings, while Alicent is nothing but the daughter of a second son with no lands at all. Viserys also knew how Aenar felt about Rhaenyra and Laena and just wanted to hurt him, which hurt his daughter too. If Aenar were to marry Rhaenyra, she would have the crownlands, houses loyal to Dragonstone, The Vale, and the entire North as her allies. Viserys is truly a fool

I’d call Viserys a puppet but Pinocchio doesn’t deserve to be saddled with him… I won’t lie, any other story I wouldn’t mind a pairing with Alicent but here she’s too much like her book self for me to care 🤷🏻‍♂️
