I really hope Rhaenys eats some humble pie real soon and that Aenar is the one to distribute it because she’s seriously pissing me off. Dismissing Aenar and his dragon as if she was sooo much better. Rhaenys thinks that Aenar is how his father used to be but is much smarter than Daemon. Rhaenys is extremely wary of Aenar. She fears him. As for Aenar’s plots, his first plan is to show Westeros that he is powerful by Conquering Dorne. Something even Aegon himself failed to do.

I really hope Rhaenys gets her comeuppance when Aenar takes her to task as she full blown blind to her ambition she is not taking account to the fate of her goes this path. Viserys is willing to kill (which is the C section was) his wife to get an heir. If that happened to Laena and she died along with her child, she should deserve all of the pain that she caused. I really want to see the next chapter and Viserys reaction to the soldiers he sent to Dragonstone. Laena is correct, if he had Balerion, then I can see him acting this way but he has no dragon and no one from the family who has dragons siding with him.

In all honesty, I am not sure if I should like Rhaenys in this story. She seemed to actively wish for Aenar to die, ignoring the effect it would have on her own grandmother and family. Her father would have been extremely disappointed in her for that. And Viserys just screwed himself again. He truly is the most selfish Targaryen around. He seemed to not even wait a whole year after his wife died to remarry, something that is an insult to her legacy.

Damn, the plot thickens!!!! Now I am really curious because I know that Aenar wants the crown power to consolidate the Targaryen family power but I can’t imagine him usurping Rhaenyra. Her claim to the throne is the best one to make sure the Hightowers stay as far away from the throne as possible and, as Aenar said, she can become a good Queen, especially with the right people by her side. Those 3 (Nyra, Aenar and Laena) can become a great team regardless of who sits the Iron Throne. Rhaenys is right to be scared of Aenar. I imagine that if Viserys had announced a marriage with Laena he would have gladly become a kin-slayer ( even if a worm is not kin to a dragon 🐉) Beautiful chapter and can’t wait for more ❤️
