The sad part is that Jon is probably right. The ironborn are literally a bunch of pillagers and rapists. Their entire culture is built on raping and reeving the coast line, and braking "Saltwives". They've rebelled umpteen times and they will again and again. They have no lands that are useful. Nothing to trade, but things they've stolen. They learned that lesson from Theon in canon, when he betrayed them and sacked Winterfell.

Glad someone was there to teach and bring Jon back down after his little mercy speech. Obviously it’s said by an 8 year old who, while having seem a lot of stuff for a boy his age, is still very young and has much to learn. Looking forward to the time skip! Will we see Jon and Rhaenys talk together again? It’s been a while and I want to see they’re relationship grow and evolve
