Sicae(LCC) - Episode 5 [Status Report #2]
🕑 Added 2023-01-31 07:24:13 +0000 UTCHello, folks! It's been almost a month since I last updated you about the development. Time moves so fast, for Christ's sake! I didn't even know what day it was today until I peeked at the calendar! π
Anyway, here are our current numbers:
Line of codes: 1722
Renders: 233
Animations: 2
Audio & SFX: 23
The numbers are progressing slowly because I'm also polishing a full fighting animation on the side, which I still need to finish since last December(I rested, I promise).

At the same time, topped with some real-life responsibilities and harsh online comments, I've been sleep deprived for the past couple of weeks because a flood of ideas for both games came to me when I started LCC's development again. Sometimes, I can't help but think this fucked up brain is also a curse to me. But I won't let that affect my job, so the update is still progressing steadily.

She's finally getting a proper introduction in her own game after... what? Two years of LCC being out as a game? π
I've also made up my mind about Lisa's backstory. It will be different from how we usually did it in MBML. I want Sicae(LCC) to have its own style and not let MBML's influence on me affect it. I want it to stay true to its original vision despite being reworked.
I once read someone saying that my ambition vastly exceeds my ability to craft a coherent narrative and engaging story. It hurts, but unfortunately, it is true. I am not like the other huge AVN writers out there. However, at the end of the day, I am not aiming to copy them, aren't I?
Anyway, this is already turning into a rant than a status update, so I'm going to take only a little of your time. π
Sicae(LCC)'s story is getting deeper and deeper, and I can't wait for you to play this update.

Im not a particularly emotional guy, but let me tell you, IΒ΄ve cried thrice because of media. First was when something reminded me of some shit of the past, second was when I watched what is considered the saddest Anime of all time and third was when I played Emmas Solo Ending. Oh god... There are times when I ask myself why I have done those before. Def bruh moments of my life! XD I don't even have the old LCC anywhere in any of my drives, even my back ups anymore. XD

While it's understandable that you want to listen to all that is said about your creations, which are amazing and engaging, why we all here (as a Patreon). Some love to tear down others' creations; while they themselves have done nothing similar. I look forward to updates for both MBML and Sicae (LCC), and they are great stories, engaging, and more importantly bring out one's emotions, many VNs lack that element and yours do not. Nothing is perfect, and that imperfection can make things even better as it makes those stories/VN/art unique as you said you are not trying to copy anyone. Keep up the great work, and don't focus on the critics as even if you did what they say, they would still find something to bitch about. I would not change anything in either VN as I love them as they are and look forward to seeing where you take both stories.

I totally agree with Messe. Your games are some of the best I have ever played. Your attention to character development and your ability to evoke emotions are superlative. I don't think your brain is fucked up, My Zen teacher told me that she thought I have adult ADHD, and it's caused me to see myself and my brain differently, and I am able to make better sense of things I hadn't been able to before. I value you the way that you are, not comparing you to others. As for critics, they usually criticize because they have no creative ability themselves, so they feel the need to judge those who do. Keep going the way your heart leads you.

Dude, don't let people tell you that you're not doing great things! You mentioned keeping your original vision and I've been here long enough that I had to chuckle, because that used to be giving girls orgasms with your cooking skills, because your mom was a world class chef hunted by the mafia for it lol. You have improved so damn much over the last two years and are well respected for your stories and visuals by a lot of of people I talk to. Keep doing your thing and you will find your style and success π

Donβt let critics get to you. Your games are amazing. Who cares if they have a more personalized style? They are still engaging, interesting, funny and heartbreaking at times. I, for one, find the way you are doing Visual Novels to be perfect!
