Hey everyone!
October's wrapping up, and I hope it's been treating you all right.
This is it, folks! We're finally here! Just one last push, and the update is coming your way! I'm nervous as hell about a lot of things—how you'll react, what you'll think—but honestly? I'm also absolutely psyched for you to play it.
Fair warning... again: Because, yeah, it's Sicae, and that means there's always something to watch out for. Especially this episode—it gets a little more unsettling than the last ones.
Yep, I'm talking about the G-word.
Yep, I'm nuts. I'm crazy.
But hey, I hope you can appreciate my wild fascination with it when it comes to fiction—and just how far I can push the edginess. Huge thanks to everyone who loves Sicae despite (or maybe because of) its themes. You're all as crazy as me, and I love it! 😅
This was supposed to be a preview post, but I decided to mix in a status report too. I want to keep things as transparent as possible—and also because of the content warning.
So, before diving into the rest, here are the current numbers:
Lines of code: 4079
Renders: 673
Animations: 18
Music & SFX: 71
We definitely hit our targets! But there was a little hiccup in the development. I know I mentioned a second lewd scene for this update, but... yeah, it just wasn't working. It felt rushed and random, with no solid build-up for the character. So the team and I decided to hold off on it until the next episode.
I get it, it's a bit of a downer. But I'd rather give you something great later than half-bake it now. So, I'm reworking the build-up, rewriting the lead-in, and re-rendering what needs to be done. No worries, though—it won't delay the update itself.
That said, there's still that one dreaded fight scene I haven't rendered yet. I'm saving it for when I'm less stressed so I don't end up rushing it. Honestly, the renders for this update have been a huge grind—way more challenging than the last MBML update. I think I've wiped my brow more times than I can count.
Lesson learned: never judge the workload by the size of the update. 🥲
But we're getting there. Just hang tight a little longer, and we'll have this update ready.

yup, after all it's not everybody's cup of (bloody) tea. Just saying that if in the future you're gonna have a dilemma if you can/should go a step further, some of us will be glad if you listen to the dark voice whispering "yes..." :D In all seriousness though I'm eager to see what you cooked this episode, and I know you have the best insight how to balance action/violence with the rest more heartwarming topics ;)

A well fleshed out and creative story is better than forcing things so from my side 1 lewd scene is more than alright; I've loved the work from both sicae and mbml so far (albeit haven't given myself time to play the mbml update) but that shall change very soon; keep up the good work and never be afraid of making the hard calls may be a bit disappointing but it would be more disappointing experiencing scenes or so that don't mesh 100% I'm sure most of us will be happy just to experience your masterpiece of a update
