Something that's been bothering me

Last week, I looked at the 'Exit Survey' results that Patreon ask you to fill out when you cancel a subscription here. The most commonly given reasons didn't really surprise me, but they did bum me out a bit... 'My Financial Situation has changed' and 'I only planned to support for a limited time' where no surprise, and in fact I'm fine with those being good reasons to cancel. People's money and how they spend it are their business. Finding myself unemployed and recovering from an illness, I can more then understand changing life priorities. And just wanting to see what's here with a one time pledge is cool with me to. I thank everyone for their support on any level!
The one that bummed me out was "Creator does not engage like I expected/Not enough new content"... That one is my fault but it still hurts a bit. Let me explain.
Firstly, I appreciate all of you who support me here, or even those who just leave a like or a comment on my DA page. But I did expect to provide content on a more regular basis then I have so far. Creative energy tends to come in surges, and you have little control over it. I made the entire "Nikki Christmas Special" in two weeks. It was a lot of work, but I needed to do it and I got it done. Other projects take longer for various reasons (Nikki: Horsepower Challenge took about 3 months, but there were a lot more characters and environments and a three way sex scene). But I never want to give you guys (or girls) half finished work. Some times I think it might be fun to post my scraps and half finished ideas, (and I enjoy it when other artists do so) but to me it feels like cheating...
I don't usually take commissions A.) I don't take direction well (to be honest, I worked in retail for 16 years and my 3D 'Art' was supposed to be the part of my life that I had control over. Taking orders for an image or scene immediately takes all the fun out it. ) and B.) because when ever I consider taking commissions, I get requests for things I have absolutely no interest in. (I have gotten everything from people wanting to see Nikki get raped (NEVER GONNA HAPPEN) to a guy who wanted "a large breasted blonde woman pissing behind a boulder and then getting screwed in the ass by a dragon'. I have exactly one dragon model in my library and it's a 10+ year old model (I.E. looks like crap) that came free with the software 9 years ago!... I'm not set up for that kind of stuff...!
Without rambling on any further, I just wanted to say two things.
I don't do commissions, but I will always listen to your suggestions or requests and comments! I may not use your idea for one reason or another, but I will never ignore you ! (and I love easter eggs and hidden details so some part of your idea may still get used). And questions are always welcome to!
The other thing is, and I'd really be interested in knowing how you guys feel about this, would you want to see more posts including scraps and unfinished scenes (because man are there a ton of them) or does that seem like a cheat?

Your stuff is great. Those people want quantity not quality. The other day I saw the drive through line for McDonald’s was around the corner, that doesn’t make it quality food. You want to grow your base organically with people that like your style and comics and that takes time, meanwhile there will be people that want a quick fix, they are ignorable. PS Hentai Foundry and Rule34 are some good places to post some of your stuff to attract new people.

Don't let that crap bother you at all, there are going to be people surfing the creaters accounts and all they are looking for are full length, 20 comics or 30 storyboards or 20 page render-books published daily. they have no appreciation nor do they care how long it takes to complete single renders, much less the planning, the creation process, painting, construction, and don't forget the story telling. They are porn junkies looking for quantity over quality. they aren't looking at this as what it is, their chance to say they I love your work and I want to invest in your work in hopes that you can actually earn some wages to support this effort, update your equipment, afford some time away from the real job and actually enjoy all this, take the special someone out for dinner and a date, and HAVE A LIFE. I didn't come here to buy your works, I'm here to encourage you to keep chasing Nikki around as she takes Naughty to the Olympics level of Fuck, to urge you on to get finally get Mako to give up that ass to Nikki's Love Machine, to get Nikki and the girls dressed up for a red carpet awards scene when all the dickgirls start getting horny (and the sequin dresses don't lie) and the next scene is on the other side of the wall from the carpet where a whole lotta ass-fcking and face-fcking has begun. I want to make it financially easy for you to do these things as a thank you for all the epic material already produced. My expectation for some sort weekly content quota is nil. You typically check in, shoot a tease, maybe drop a WIP image, or ask us a question. You've got it right. Those other dumb-asses are trolls and they want it all for very little and when their expectations aren't met they bolt off toward the next. Render On My Friend, Nikki needs me too, I just know it

It is fun to see unfinished art, abandoned projects or WIP's. You shouldn't feel they would be cheat posts as it actually shows the work, background processes, thoughts and ideas that enable you to create the great stories you do finish. Thank you for your art.
