Shame, I actually don't mind the voice actors too much. It doesn't really sound cringy. Just sounds like they are trying too hard.

It isn't the greatest, but I've heard way worse. There are definitely voice actresses that can do a better job. I can't imagine how time-consuming it is for him to just scrap the whole project though.

You weren't kidding about the voice actresses lines sounding cringing, however i definitely don't think you should abandon this goldmine of a project. Just put a pin in it until you find right actresses for the role.
